Hottest New Streetwear of the Week: July 19th-25th

Nothing quite like a fresh selection of streetwear releases to keep our spirits high. It's Thursday, and though the end of the week feels oh-so-close, we still need to get through two or even three days' worth of work before time off! If you're anything like us, though, this weekly streetwear overview for the penultimate week of July could help out with that.

We've got to admit that it's more exciting than we had first anticipated it would be, with all sorts of items we hadn't previously had the chance to look at! Heaps and heaps of jackets, for one. Then there's the fact that Marilyn Manson himself had a collab with PLEASURE, but with a caveat...

We'll tell you everything you need to know about these shortly! If you're still chasing after the perfect summer T-shirt, however, one of our previous overviews may be more your speed.

Stone Island's FW20 Collection

One of our favorite clothesmakers, Stone Island specializes in sleek and snazzy designs that balance being understated with being cool in just the right way. The company's FW 20 offerings follow suit, with some of their jackets being at the cutting edge of tasteful fashion.

The collection includes soft-shell jackets, vests, long-sleeved shirts, and some of the neatest cargo pants we've seen yet. We were excited to see what Stone Island will come up with this year, and we're happy to say they've not disappointed. Granted, the whole collection leans a bit more towards autumn wearables - something to keep in mind if you're looking for short-sleeved shirts and whatnot. There are a few of those in-store, of course, but they're hardly the most remarkable designs, we feel.

sacai x UNDERCOVER MA-1 Bomber Jacket

If Stone Island just isn't your speed and you're looking for something with more character, the customized MA-1 bomber design from sacai may be it! Really, it's the classic bomber jacket we all know and love. It's just that it's been extensively modified to reflect the latest fashion sensibilities of the 21st century. What's not to like?

This particular MA-1 is available in black, blue, and classic green colors, if you'd like to make a more striking impression, though we do believe army green fits it best!

COVID-19 relief T-Shirts from Dover Street Market

We couldn't resist including at least a few cool T-shirts on our jacket-themed weekly streetwear summary, but these have a goal behind them, too. Dover Street Market is hardly a stranger to striking designs and timeless offerings. The fact that their latest collection is part of an initiative to forward 100% of their proceeds to charities supporting healthcare workers in the midst of COVID-19 is nothing short of noble.

"We are looking to the future with optimism and hope; working together with friends of DSM to create a simple collection of T-shirts that help to spread positive energy through the wider DSM global community and out into the world," they said.

Rojo & Amarillo Collaboration by J Balvin and Takashi Murakami

J Balvin and Takashi Murakami have come together to offer striking flower-themed designs on high-quality hoodies and tees! Now, we're not saying these are objectively perfect for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but we're saying that they actually are.

Simple but striking, these items immediately pull everyone's attention and leave just the right amount of psychedelic wonder, when they are more carefully inspected. There's something hypnotic about them, which is nothing if not a testament to Murakami's craft. Hoodies and tees are available in yellow, red, black, and white variants, so all you have to do is - pick your poison.

Marilyn Manson's latest PLEASURES Collection was neat... but then it sold out

Like him or hate him, Marilyn Manson is a legend all of its own. It goes without saying that he'd have a line of clothes or two under his name, and PLEASURES' most recent offering is just that. With eight all-new originals to choose from, ranging from headcaps all the way to hoodies, the popular musician's striking designs were a tiny bit too successful, even. In fact, we're including it here only for posterity's sake, as it's almost immediately been sold out following its on-the-down-low launch.

We've got nothing but kudos to award to both Manson and PLEASURES, but dang, if you're a fan of Manson's work, you're a bit out of luck!

Wrap-up!

As we promised, this week was a bit different from our usual summer-themed summaries. Check out the last two week's worth of fresh streetwear drip on these links:

In other news, if you're looking for inspiration far as Animal Crossing New Horizons drip goes, we just had a rather sizeable showcase earlier this week! It features IRL recommendations, too, so we've got all your needs covered. Or, at least, most of them!
