Celebrities that play Animal Crossing: Here's who might visit your island one day!

Did you know that there's a whole lot of celebrities that play Animal Crossing? Chances are that you're vaguely aware of the fact that both Frodo from LOTR and Captain Marvel herself have islands all of their own, but we've got a fair few surprise inclusions as well!

We've decided to take a break from summarizing Animal Crossing updates and hotfixes to offer a brief look into which of the celebrities are known to ham it up with Tom Nook! The list is, as you might imagine, always growing, so be on the lookout for future updates to this article in the coming weeks and months.

Brie Larson has long been a fan of Nintendo consoles and games!

The obvious inclusion! Brie Larson is no stranger to Nintendo IPs and games, and has said that Animal Crossing specifically has been a major part of her childhood. Seriously, all it takes is a quick scroll through Larson's Twitter account to confirm her dedication to gaming and - whaddayaknow - Animal Crossing in particular!

From hosting online gameplay sessions and AC hangouts for fans all the way to joining popular AC-themed podcasts, Brie Larson's career with Tom Nook is nothing if not impressive.

Elijah Wood won't ever steal your resources

Whereas Larson puts her Animal Crossing adventures front-and-center nowadays (which is awesome), the former lead of the revered Lord of the Rings trilogy does the opposite. As the story goes, one day he just popped up on another player's island, asking to pick some fruit!

From what we've discovered, Elijah Wood is a model tourist in Animal Crossing. Perfectly polite and careful around other players' turnips, he's left a great impression on those whose islands he's already visited. Honestly, isn't that the most anyone could ever ask for?

Guy Fiery is the Mayor of Flavortown in Animal Crossing, too

Guy Fiery is a pretty darn cool dude, despite his flamboyant personality! What makes him cooler still is the idea that he might enjoy the company of a certain Tom Nook every once in a while.

"I’m here on Flavortown Island checkin’ out a joint run by local legend, Tom Nook! Unlike the homes around here, you won’t have to take out a loan to afford these dishes," he said on Twitter! Granted, it's entirely possible that Fiery just enjoyed the picture someone else had prepared in his stead, but we were quite happy to see him engage with Animal Crossing all the same.

If one of the tourists visiting your island wears a black shirt with flames and has frosted tips, you'll know what's up!

Yes, Danny Trejo plays Animal Crossing, too

Proving that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the perfect game no matter your age, here's the legendary Danny Trejo enjoying his Nintendo Switch. It was a while ago that he looked for pals to share his Dodo code with, so we reckon he's got plenty of people to have fun with by now!

It's hard to argue against the idea that Animal Crossing is more fun with pals, so we'll subscribe to Trejo's train of thought as well. Then again, we did watch Machete, too, so we'll subscribe to any notion the man might offer in the first place!

Maisie Williams keeps close tabs on Animal Crossing

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams is usually at the cutting edge of the modern fashion. It only follows that Animal Crossing, too, would be among her interests! Back during the game's heyday, Williams showcased what sort of drip she's got!

We expect that the recent Sea Creatures update's keeping her entertained over the past few weeks, but we wouldn't be too surprised if Williams dropped by our own collection of drip every once in a while.

American politicians don't get more interesting than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

We expect most of the people featured in this article to have joined Animal Crossing on their own behest. With Ocasio-Cortez, there's a tiny bit more utility in mind: she seems to have started playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons to meet with her political (and social) admirers, and the results were unexpectedly wholesome!

"Honestly never in my life did I think opening my DMs would grant me faith in humanity but the brief window [when she did] actually resulted in a lot of these messages being very wholesome," she said.

It's difficult to overstate just what a wholesome community Animal Crossing and Nintendo have fostered over the years, and in this day and age, that's precisely what we need. With celebrities and politicians like these, it's hard to complain!
