Animal Crossing x Sanrio Collab Coming on March 18th!

Mark the date on your calendar, physical or digital, because the long-awaited Animal Crossing x Sanrio Collab is coming to New Horizons on the March 18th!

The popular kawaii company Sanrio is owner of the Hello Kitty IP, for example, which means fans of this monumental segment of pop culture will soon get a chance to meet Sanrio characters and explore their awesome houses in-game.

To underscore the good news for fans of Sanrio, the March 18th update - Version 1.9 - is going to feature all-new Sanrio-themed furniture, too. Down below, you're going to find a comprehensive list of upcoming content and a few lovely screenshots of the featured houses.

Where is the Animal Crossing x Sanrio Collab coming from, anyway?

It all boils down to Amiibos, really. The original Sanrio set of Amiibo Cards was printed back in 2016, and what we're getting now is a fully renewed re-print with a Europe, UK, Australia, and US launches.

There are six different amiibos on show, each featuring a unique Sanrio-inspired Animal Crossing villager and their AC residence, too.

This set of Amiibo Cards is set to launch on March 26th, and the New Horizons feature-set is essentially a bit of fun marketing that everyone and their mum can partake in.

Prices will range from $5.99 to $9.99 depending on your region, and it goes without saying that the supply is rather limited. And, of course, the only way to actually get the showcased furniture is to scan the appropriate Amiibo Card. Good luck!
